  1. Strong academic foundation in mathematics, graduating from the Department of Mathematics at NCKU, which equipped him with rigorous analytical and logical abilities essential for interpreting complex financial theories and investment strategies.
  2. Played a pivotal role in establishing Taiwan’s first investment trust company, marking a significant milestone in the modernization of Taiwan’s financial markets. His early understanding of pooled investment concepts in 1983 contributed to shaping the development of Taiwan’s financial industry.
  3. Identified structural limitations within mutual fund markets, particularly the passive position of retail investors, and recognized challenges such as high transaction fees and high investment thresholds.
  4. As Chairman of the Taiwan Stock Exchange, actively promoted the development of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), viewing them as innovative financial tools capable of addressing the shortcomings of traditional investment products—demonstrating forward-looking and strategic thinking.
  5. Engaged in both theoretical and practical research, contributing to diverse academic projects including “Innovation and Transfer Analysis from the Perspective of Entrepreneurship” and “A Study on Tariff Rate Adjustments in Taiwan.”
  6. Maintained an open and innovative mindset throughout his career, continuing to pursue industry progress and modernization even in senior leadership roles rather than treating them merely as honorary positions.
