Mr. Hao-Yi Wang (Class of 1981)
  1. Built a diverse career, moving from a mathematics background into international trade; served as General Manager of an American corporation before transitioning into the cultural and creative industries in his 40s.
  2. Renowned cultural contributor, known as a Tainan city writer and historian, dedicated to the study of Tainan’s heritage through interdisciplinary perspectives on history, architecture, and culture.
  3. Prolific author of 21 books, including A Journey into the Charm of Old Tainan and Slow Food in Tainan; creator of the Tainan Impressions postcard and playing card series.
  4. Serves as a columnist for Eslite Bookstore and a member of the Tainan City Heritage Tree Conservation Committee; host of the PTS program Hulk’s Roaming.
  5. Conducts extensive field studies across Taiwan, developing deep knowledge of local culture and history.
  6. Advocates an innovative philosophy of retirement, promoting “solitude management” and encouraging active engagement in life’s new stages.
  7. Emphasizes continuous learning and social connection, embodying a spirit of lifelong education.
