[Department Announcement] Call for Applications: 2027 University of Toronto Summer Research Program (UGSRP) Internal Nomination

Dear Students,

Professor Arvind Gupta from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto recently visited our university and brought a valuable scholarship opportunity for our students to join the 2027 Summer Research Program (UGSRP).

This program is jointly organized by the University of Toronto's Department of Computer Science and the Fields Institute. Professor Gupta selected only 5 top universities in Taiwan for this initiative, with a total of 20 candidates nationwide. Ultimately, 10 students will be selected to receive full scholarships (including round-trip airfare, local transportation, and room and board) to participate in the summer research program in Canada. Following internal deliberation, our department will select one outstanding undergraduate student to represent us in the university-level competition.

Eligibility: Undergraduate students in the Department of Mathematics who are able to participate in the full summer internship in Canada from May to August.
Required Documents: Official English transcript, English CV, and supporting documents such as a statement of research interests/directions (or a brief project proposal).
Internal Deadline: Before 12:00 PM, Monday, December 14, 2026 (Please submit hard copies of your documents to the Department Office).
