Ms. Li-Fang Hsu (Class of 1969)
  1. Accomplished researcher with approximately 30 journal publications, specializing in statistical analysis, clinical trial design, and group testing; recipient of the 2024 Abraham Wald Prize in Sequential Analysis.
  2. Extensive academic career: began teaching at secondary schools and universities in 1973; served as Professor and Chair of the Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science at Le Moyne College, and Visiting Scholar at Stanford University.
  3. Active in professional conferences, delivering roughly 66 presentations; frequently invited to speak at international statistical conferences, serving as session chair and keynote speaker.
  4. Engaged in professional service: holds five professional memberships, serves as a long-term reviewer for multiple academic journals, and has been President of the American Statistical Association Syracuse Chapter for several terms.
  5. Contributed to teaching and curriculum development, creating courses in applied statistics and operations research, mentoring students in research projects and internships.
  6. Recognized with multiple research awards at Le Moyne College and NSF-supported workshops; listed in Who’s Who in America (2004–2007).
  7. Actively involved in international academic exchange, presenting research in Taiwan, the USA, and France, and supporting cross-strait statistical collaborations.
