【Scholarship Announcement】114-1 Hong-Yuan Mathematics Education Foundation Scholarship and Subsidy Program

The Hong-Yuan Mathematics Education Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "the Foundation") established this regulation to assist students of the Department of Mathematics, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in successfully completing their studies, reward outstanding students, and aid financially disadvantaged students.

Scholarship and Subsidy Categories

I. Professor Fan Ping-Chang Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: 12:00 PM, October 17) [Application Form]

• Eligibility: Undergraduate students in the 1st and 2nd year with outstanding academic performance and good moral character during their current enrollment.
• Quota: Up to 2 students for the first year and up to 2 students for the second year, totaling up to 4 students per semester.
• Amount: NT$15,000 per person. The total annual amount is NT$120,000.

II. Financial Aid for Disadvantaged Students (Deadline: 12:00 PM, October 17) [Application Form]

• Eligibility: All students (undergraduate and graduate) who meet one of the following criteria: low-income households, medium-low-income households, special circumstances families, physical/mental disability, or family adversity, AND whose academic score in the previous semester is passing.
• Quota: Up to 6 students per semester.
• Amount: NT5,000toNT10,000 per person. The total budget per semester is up to NT$60,000.

III. Emergency Relief Fund (Applications accepted at any time) [Application Form]

• Eligibility: All students (undergraduate and graduate) facing financial hardship due to accidents, injury, illness, or sudden family misfortune.
• Quota: Unlimited, but restricted to one application per person per academic year.
• Amount: Determined on a case-by-case basis. Generally, up to NT$30,000 per case. The total annual budget is up to NT$100,000.

Application Method

Applications are submitted online. Please upload all required documents via the Google Form: (Form Link: https://forms.gle/DthtpEtfy8eq9ciw5)

Disbursement and Recipient Obligations

1. After the application is approved, the Foundation will handle the disbursement within two weeks.
2. Recipients of the award/subsidy must send a letter of appreciation to the relevant donor within one month of receiving the award.
3. The Professor Fan Ping-Chang Memorial Scholarship and the Financial Aid for Disadvantaged Students cannot be received concurrently, with the exception of the Emergency Relief Fund.
4. Recipients of the award/subsidy are obligated to participate in and assist with alumni activities (such as the Alumni General Assembly, Alumni Homecoming, etc.) jointly organized by the Foundation and the Department of Mathematics, NCKU, and shall cooperate in the execution of relevant work assignments.
