I. Purpose
The Association aims to strengthen connections among alumni, promote the research, development, and application of mathematics, and extend its influence to the humanities and sciences through collective wisdom and effort, thereby contributing to society and the nation. It also serves as a bridge for mutual service and support among alumni.
II. Name
The official name of this Association is “Alumni Association of the Department of Mathematics, National Cheng Kung University.”
III. Membership Qualifications and Termination

General Membership:
(1) Anyone who has obtained a degree from the Department of Mathematics or the Institute of Applied Mathematics at NCKU.
(2) Anyone who has completed studies without a degree but has received a certificate of completion from the Department/Institute.
(3) Anyone who has taken courses in the Department/Institute and voluntarily applies for membership.

Honorary Membership:
(1) Any faculty member who has taught courses in the Department/Institute may be invited by the Executive Committee as an Honorary Member.
(2) Individuals who have made special contributions to the Department/Institute may be nominated by General Members, approved by the General Assembly, and invited by the Executive Committee as Honorary Members.

Loss of Membership:
(1) Expulsion: Membership may be revoked by resolution of the General Assembly, but only under justifiable circumstances.
(2) Withdrawal: Members may withdraw from the Association upon submitting notice of resignation.
IV. Organization and Duties
The highest authority of the Association is the General Assembly, with the Executive Committee operating during its recess.
The Executive Committee consists of four directors (including one President and one Vice President) and one Financial Auditor. The director receiving the highest votes shall serve as President; the second-highest, as Vice President.
The directors and auditor are elected by alumni attending the General Assembly. Candidates need not be present alumni.
The term of office for all positions is two years, and re-election is not permitted. Officers may be subject to recall.
Duties:

President: Supervises and executes constitutional and General Assembly resolutions, manages Association affairs, determines policy, presides over meetings, and represents the Association externally.

Vice President: Assists with administrative affairs and implements resolutions; assumes the President’s duties in case of absence.

Directors: Assist in decision-making and implementation of Association affairs.

Financial Auditor: Oversees and audits financial matters.
Subcommittees under the Executive Committee (appointed by the Committee):

Finance Subcommittee: Responsible for fundraising and fund management.

Activities Subcommittee: Responsible for all Association events.

Secretariat: Responsible for administrative matters, record-keeping, and maintaining a contact center.
V. General Assembly Meetings and Procedures
The General Assembly shall be convened once a year to amend the Constitution and decide major matters; extraordinary meetings may be convened as necessary.
The Executive Committee shall meet every four months.
Resolutions of the General Assembly and Executive Committee shall be archived by the Executive Committee and announced to all members.
VI. Association Funds

Lifetime membership fee: NT$2,000.

VII. Miscellaneous
Amendments to this Constitution may be proposed and voted upon during the General Assembly.
