| Title | Toric Moment Maps |
| Abstract | We will introduce the notion of the nonnegative part of a toric variety and define the algebraic and symplectic momentum maps. These notions allow us to show that the quotient of a projective toric variety XP by the compact real torus SN is homeomorphic to the polytope P . Consequently, we discuss how this result connects the geometry of projective toric varieties with topology and symplectic geometry. |
