| Title | Towards Explicit Results for the Multiplicative SU(n)-Multiplicative Eigenvalue Problem |
| Abstract | I will report on recent work which pertains to the multiplicative eigenvalue for the special unitary group and with particular emphasis on the case of three conjugacy classes. For the case of SU(2), this entails a detailed study of the work of Jeffrey and Weitsman. For the more general case the starting point is the polytopes of Belkahle. In this direction, applying a form of the Bertram-Vafa-Intriligator formula, which is given by Rietsch, I will indicate how to obtain explicit calculation of quantum Littlewood-Richardson coefficients; aside from being of an independent interest this allows for explicit defining equations for such polytopes for the case of n = 2, 3, 4 and three conjugacy classes. |
