TITLE	The Arithmetic of Toric Varieties
ABSTRACT	It is known that the algebro-geometric properties of toric varieties can be translated into the combinatorial properties of lattice polytopes and fans. In this talk, I will explain how one can understand the arithmetic of toric varieties using convex geometry.
