TITLE Diffusion Waves for Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations

ABSTRACT Abstract: This will be a survey talk on the asymptotic behavior of solutions for nonlinear partial differential equations with dissipation. I would like to report on the diffusion waves which appear as asymptotic profiles of solutions for several equations such as compressible Navier-Stokes equations, discrete Boltzmann equations and so on.
